Khair Medical College, Sindh-

Hindu young MBBS student Sneha was mysteriously found dead, after being relentlessly harassed by senior Dr. Abdul Alahe and hostel warden Shahjan Shaikh. Sneha’s life, once filled with hope and dreams of becoming a doctor, ended tragically under suspicious circumstances. Her untimely death is a stark reminder of the hostile environment faced by Hindu women pursuing education and careers in Islamic Pakistan.

Countless Hindu girls are forced to abandon their ambitions due to relentless harassment and coercion by Islamists. Those who persevere, like Sneha, often face targeted abuse, making their professional journey fraught with fear and uncertainty. Institutions fail to protect them, leaving these young women vulnerable to harassment, discrimination and violence.

The systemic harassment of Hindu women pursuing education or careers is a deliberate attempt to suppress minority progress and empowerment. Sneha’s death highlights the urgent need for institutional accountability, societal change, and stronger protections to ensure that no young woman has to sacrifice her dreams because of her religious identity, perhaps a far-fetched dream in present Islamic Pakistan.
