Pakistan: Hindu poor family forced to commit suicide due to chronic hunger

Sindh-
Chaman Kolhi, a poor Hindu farmer tragically ended his life, along with his three innocent children, exhausted by hunger and the crushing weight of unemployment. His death, though heart-wrenching, is not an isolated case. Across Sindh, many from the Hindu community, facing relentless poverty and discrimination, are driven to despair, with no hope of a better future.

The government, instead of offering support or creating job opportunities for these marginalized communities, remains a silent bystander. Hindus and other religious minorities are systematically excluded from employment in both public and private sectors, a direct result of their religion.

In the face of overwhelming hardship, these communities are left without any meaningful government aid or development opportunities. Discriminatory policies further marginalize them, trapping many in a cycle of poverty. Chaman Kolhi’s death is a painful reminder of the urgent need for equal rights, opportunities, and a voice for religious minorities.
