India: Hindu Pooja murdered by Mohammad Alam

In a chilling incident, Mohammad Alam, a father of 4 kids with his first wife, murdered his Hindu live-in partner Pooja Devi and dumped her body in a nearby canal. This brutal act sheds light on an exponentially growing pattern where Hindu women are lured into relationships by Islamist men, who often use false Hindu identities to trap these women. These women face exploitation of the worst kind, blackmail and/or tragic ends.

All these cases involve Hindu women being coerced into or blackmailed to convert to Islam, forced into prostitution, or subjected to heinous violence, including being mercilessly killed and their dead bodies mutilated. These systematic ‘love-traps’ (Love-Jihad) target only Hindu women and girls, regardless of their age, exploiting their innoncent trust and leaving them with devastating consequences.

The increasing number of these Love-Jihad cases in every section of the society highlights a disturbing trend which should not be denied anymore. Urgent attention needs to be given by society and state for creating awareness among general masses and making stringent laws against the perpetrators of such love-traps.
