Pakistan: Hindu Kid hospitalized, brutally tortured by Muslim teacher Zahid for not cleaning toilet

Kot Ghulam Muhammad, Sindh — Thirteen-year-old Vishal Santosh Malhi, a Hindu student in the 7th grade, was reportedly hospitalized with severe injuries following a brutal beating by his school teacher, Zahid, in a local public school. According to family members, the incident unfolded after Vishal, who had been unwell, was forced to carry out cleaning duties assigned only to Hindu students.

In Pakistani schools, where religious minorities often face daily discrimination, Hindu children are subjected to severe social and physical abuse, often forced to undertake menial tasks and endure ridicule from both teachers and classmates. Vishal’s family explained that since the age of five, he and other Hindu students have been routinely assigned cleaning tasks, including toilet cleaning, without access to water to wash afterward. This practice, they say, is justified by local authorities who consider these roles to be the future occupation of Hindu children.

On the day of the incident, despite his illness, Vishal was reportedly compelled to complete his cleaning duties. When his work was deemed unsatisfactory, the teacher Zahid allegedly began a harsh assault, striking Vishal with various objects, including sticks, rulers, and even an iron rod, until he sustained significant injuries. Barely able to return home, Vishal collapsed upon reaching his family, who rushed him to the hospital.

The family reports that Vishal has been left severely traumatized, now struggling to cope with the recurring physical and emotional toll of his school environment. This case highlights the systemic abuse faced by Hindu students in Pakistan, where authorities are often accused of permitting discriminatory practices in education.
