Ghauspur, Sindh-
Hindu young girl named Muskaan was kidnapped and forcibly converted to Islam, adding to the long list of atrocities against Hindu women in Islamic Pakistan. Her abduction has devastated her Hindu family and community, who continue their desperate pursuit for her recovery despite systemic barriers. Such incidents highlight the rampant targeting of Hindu women in the Islamist country.
The Pakistani Hindu community tirelessly fights to rescue their abducted daughters and seek justice, but their efforts are often thwarted by societal bias and state complicity. Legal systems and law enforcement frequently side with Islamist perpetrators, perpetuating impunity and deepening the minority community’s anguish.
These crimes are part of state-sponsored religious persecution aimed at erasing minority identities. Forcible conversions and forced nikahs of Hindu women are carried out without any fear of punishment and accountability.
Disclaimer: Due to state restrictions in Pakistan, independent follow-ups on such incidents are challenging.
