Pakistan: Hindu elderly businessman and his little grandson kidnapped by Islamists for huge ransom

Bakshapur, Kashmore, Sindh-
In a harrowing case, Hindu elderly businessman, Mukhi Jagdish Kumar and his little grandson, Jaideep Kumar were abducted and held captive for over four months. Jagdish was chained, shackled and tortured daily while the kidnappers demanded an exorbitant ransom of Rs 5 crores. Despite the family arranging Rs.40 lakh, mediators assigned by the police looted the amount, delaying the victims’ recovery.

This incident highlights the targeted victimization of Hindus, regardless of age, in Islamic Pakistan. Such kidnappings and torture showcase the vulnerability of the Hindu minority community, facing relentless exploitation and violence in the Islamic nation. Hindus are forced to suffer in silence, with little regard for their safety or justice, as there is absolutely no help from the government or law enforcement agencies.

The mediators’ betrayal underscores systemic corruption and negligence. Despite paying a ransom, the victims endured prolonged suffering due to the authorities’ failure to act promptly. The plight of Hindus is routinely overlooked, reflecting a deep-seated apathy of Islamic Pakistan towards ensuring their protection.
