Pakistan: Man raped 48 dead women after exhuming them from their graves.
Karachi-
Mohammad Riaz exhumed 48 dead women from their graves and raped them, over a period of 8 years. Riaz worked as a caretaker, watering the plants and graves in the Paposhnagar graveyard, Karachi and hence would know where dead women were buried. He would target the graves which were freshly dug, exhume the dead woman and rape her. His crime would go undetected as the graves did not have any cemented tombstones.
With such cases of necrophilia on rise, the parents in Islamic Pakistan guard their dead daughters against rapes, by putting padlocks to their graves. This is being done as a desperate bid to ensure the sanctity of the dead bodies, in case some necrophiliac targets them to satiate his lust.
In a country, which takes great pride in its Islamic values, the heart-wrenching sight of padlocked graves of women is a stark reminder of the sexually frustrated society of Islamic Pakistan, where even the dead women are not safe from rapes.
