Pak defence analyst reveals who started Sikh separatism in Punjab, Jihad in Kashmir, unrest in North-East states of India.

Pakistan: Pakistani defense analyst reveals Pakistan’s hand in creating unrest in Indian soil to avenge 1971 defeat.

Pakistani defense analyst Zaid Hamid revealed that Pakistan actively sought to avenge its 1971 defeat by fostering unrest in India. He declared that Pakistan financed and trained insurgent groups to destabilize India, aiming to weaken its unity and sovereignty. This strategy included reviving separatist movements and fueling regional tensions in various parts of India.

Throughout the 1980s, Pakistan supported the Khalistan movement, encouraging Sikh separatism in Punjab. It also reignited separatist sentiments in Jammu and Kashmir, giving rise to Jihad militancy. Additionally, Pakistan backed Naxalite movements in India’s North-East, exploiting regional discontent. These efforts aimed to exploit India’s internal vulnerabilities.

Hamid further disclosed Pakistan’s involvement in assisting Sri Lanka against the LTTE, indirectly targeting India’s influence in the region. By promoting insurgencies and unrest, Pakistan sought to create chaos and fragment India’s unity. These actions highlight the extent of Pakistan’s covert efforts to retaliate for the 1971 war and destabilize its neighbor.
