“…Cow is mother – Gaumata. Only a fool can sl@ughter cows…” – Late Nawab Akbar Bugti, greatest leader of Balochistan who was assassinated by Pak Army for treason
Pakistan: Nawab Akbar Bugti expresses his views on cow veneration.
“Cow is mother – Gaumata. Only a fool can slaughter cows…” –Nawab Akbar Bugti, greatest leader of Baluchistan, who was assassinated by Pak Army for treason.
Late Nawab Akbar Bugti, a revered Baloch leader, respected the sacredness of the cow, calling it “Gaumata” and condemning its slaughter. His statement underscores the shared cultural and spiritual heritage of the Indian subcontinent, where reverence for the cow has deep historical roots. Bugti’s words highlight his respect for Hindu traditions, an uncommon stance in regions dominated by Islamist narratives.
In India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, however, Hindus are mocked for their cow-veneration. Islamists deliberately consume beef and glorify its slaughter during festivals like Eid to insult Hindu beliefs. This act is not just religious defiance but a calculated attempt to provoke and marginalize minorities.
Mocking Hindus as ‘cow-piss drinkers’ and ‘cow-dung eaters’ for their cow veneration is a cruel tactic used by Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Indian Muslims to incite hatred, ridicule sacred beliefs and deepen communal divides, fostering hostility. Such deliberate disrespect fuels animosity and deepens the cultural divide, perpetuating hatred against Hindu traditions.
