Did you know when Pak army fights against India, a special unit is assigned task to attack & destroy Hindu temples and the forces that execute this task earn the title of But-Shikan (iconoclasts/ idol-breakers)?
Pakistan: Pak army has a special task force to carry out attacks and destroy Hindu temples.
‘When Pak army fights against India, a special unit is assigned task to attack & destroy Hindu temples and the forces that execute this task earn the title of Butt-Shikan (iconoclasts/ idol-breakers)” said Mubasher Lucman, a Pakistani anchorperson and founder of ARY Digital in an interview.
Historical figures like Mahmud of Ghazni and others, who earned the title Butshikan (idol-breaker), are celebrated by all in Pakistan for their campaigns against temples in medieval India. And the practice has continued even in present day state-sponsored army and the local life. Pakistan has witnessed countless attacks on Hindu temples on its soil, with little to no government intervention to stop these attacks of vandalism. Hindu temples have not been spared even in India, by the Islamists living in India.
Islam firmly decrees that worship should be free of material representations, which lead to idolatry, a grave sin in Islam. Hence, destruction of idols, temples and religious symbols is often used by Islamists to intimidate or demean Hindu and other communities and maintain the purity of the Islamic land of Pakistan, to taunt and incite violence in India and other parts of the world and to establish Islamic rule, by grabbing land of the temples and building Islamic mazars and other structures on that land.
