Pakistan: Hindu young girl abducted, raped & coercively converted to Islam

Mahek Keswani, a young Hindu girl, was abducted & raped by Islamist Ahishar Memon. The young girl was coerced into converting to Islam & pushed into forced nikah with Ahishar. This incident sheds more light on the rampant targeting of Hindu girls in Pakistan, where rapes, abductions and conversions of Hindu women are carried out with impunity. Mahek’s ordeal underscores the relentless persecution faced by Hindu religious minorities.

Hindu girls, regardless of age or education, live under constant threat of rape, abduction, harassment and coerced nikahs. Even the educated and aware women are not spared, as powerful perpetrators exploit societal prejudices and state inaction to carry out these crimes. Hindu families seeking justice face intimidation, violence, or legal loopholes that completely favor and protect the Islamist offenders.

State apathy and neglect exacerbate this crisis. Law enforcement and judicial systems fail to protect minority communities, turning a blind eye to their suffering. This systematic discrimination perpetuates fear and helplessness among Hindus in Islamic Pakistan.
