Pakistan: Hindu minor girl abducted, gangraped and forcibly converted to Islam.

Hindu 15 years old Chanda Maharaj was abducted, gangraped, forcibly converted to Islam & pushed into nikah with her Islamist kidnapper, Shaman Magsi Baloch. After protests by the Hindu community, she was eventually recovered from Karachi. Despite her tearful pleas to return to her parents, the local court sent her to a shelter home. After two years of legal battles, the court handed her back to her Islamist abductor, without even informing her parents.
This case exemplifies how courts in Pakistan often favor Islamist abductors over victims from minority communities. The judiciary baltantly disregards the victim’s age, rights and desperate appeals, reinforcing systemic discrimination against them. Perpetrators exploit biased institutions and religious justifications to escape accountability, leaving Hindu families devastated.
Even after years of waiting and enduring painful court hearings, Hindu victims and their families never get justice. The courts’ negligence and pro- Islamist-abductor rulings perpetuate fear and despair within minority communities in the Islamic nation of Pakistan.
