Deharki, Sindh-
Hindu young girl Rinkle Kumari (19) was abducted by Islamist Naveed Shah, coercively converted to Islam in Bharchundi Dargah and forced into a nikah with Naveed, against her will. Her abduction caused immense distress to her Hindu family, who fought a lengthy legal battle to reclaim their daughter, but their pleas were ignored, leaving them devastated.
This case exemplifies the relentless harassment Hindu women face in Pakistan. Abductions, forced conversions, and marriages have become routine, subjecting victims to physical and mental torment. These acts not only violate their rights but also strip them of their identity and freedom. Hindu families are left powerless, grappling with fear and societal ostracism.
The mental torture endured by victims like Rinkle highlights the systemic failure of Pakistan’s institutions to protect minority women. Legal loopholes and biased societal attitudes embolden perpetrators, while victims and families face threats and discrimination.
