Sindhori, Nagarparkar, Sindh-
A young Hindu man, Ajmal Shankar Kohli, was tragically found hanging near his home. Struggling with abject poverty and denied employment opportunities because of his Hindu affiliation ,Ajmal’s family lived in chronic hunger and despair. His death reflects the crushing reality faced by many Hindus in Pakistan, whose marginalization leaves them with little to no hope for survival.
Hindus in Islamic Pakistan face systemic discrimination, with meagre access to jobs and negligible state support. Their exclusion from economic opportunities, on the basis of their religion, forces many families into extreme poverty, perpetuating cycles of suffering and despair. The lack of government intervention to address these injustices only exacerbates their plight.
This heartbreaking incident is one among many suicides driven by frustration and hopelessness in the Pakistani Hindu community. It highlights the urgent need for systemic reforms, equal opportunities, and protection for minorities to ensure their dignity and survival.
Disclaimer: Due to state restrictions in Pakistan, independent follow-ups on such incidents are challenging.
When Hindu is called violent in Indian for fun, an innocent Hindu is hanged in Pakistan for fun.
